About J.R. Ferguson:

J.R. (better known as Jess) is the author of The Last Daughter, a 2014 Booksellers Best Award Finalist. Jess interviews authors for Southern Writers Magazine. She is the author of Save the Groom included in The Bucket List Dare collection and has stories in several other anthologies. Her Silhouette Romance, The Groom Wore Blue Suede Shoes was published in 1996--under the pseudonym of Jessica Travis.

Jess worked as assistant editor/writer/photographer for The Times of Southwest Louisiana, and her work has appeared in magazines and newspapers in Louisiana and Texas. She coordinated writing classes for Lamar University’s Continuing Education and taught a class called Nonfiction Boot Camp until budget cuts did away with Lamar’s Continuing Ed department. 

A Bad Guy Forever, her soon to be released romantic suspense, won the Mystery/Suspense category in the 2011-2012 Phoenix Rattler contest and ranked among the top ten finalist in the Killer Nashville 2011 Claymore contest.  
 
Jess is the founder of the East Texas Writers Association in her hometown of Longview, Texas, and a past president of Bayou Writers’ Group in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
